Dear colleagues, The School of Government and Public Policy at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, seeks to appoint two Chancellor's Fellows, one in Computational Political Science and one in Ethics and Political Philosophy (Submit by April 12!). Both positions are open at the Lecturer/Assistant Professor or Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor levels but with the additional bonus of reduced teaching for the duration of the fellowship. At the School of Government and Public Policy we are focussed on questions of political behaviour, public policy and political economy and international relations, and use a range of quantitative methods to investigate these. Computational Political Science We’d love to hear from you if your research uses computational methods to investigate key political questions. Examples of the methods we would be interested in include: Big Data analysis, computational text analysis, agent-based modelling, network analysis and spatial econometrics. Strong programming skills and the ability to teach programming to our students in data science for politics are vital.
