The LAPOP Lab is pleased to invite proposals for presentations of research on public opinion and political behavior in Latin America and the Caribbean for its 5th annual conference, “The Public and Democracy in the Americas.” The conference is scheduled to take place virtually on November 9-10, 2023.

The 2023 conference is coordinated by the LAPOP Lab at Vanderbilt University, Participación Ciudadana, and Universidad de Las Américas (UDLA). The conference seeks to bring together scholars working on a variety of topics related to public opinion, political behavior, and their consequences for democracy in the region.

Both works-in-progress and recently published research are eligible, and priority will be given to work that uses AmericasBarometer data. Undergraduate and graduate students may only submit proposals for a poster session. Presentations may be given in English or Spanish, but proposals in Portuguese are also welcome.
