ACIC 2022 ANNOUNCEMENTS: Submissions Open, Data Challenge, and Workshops

We are happy to report that ACIC 2022 is still on-track to meet in
Berkeley, May 23-25, 2022 (despite some Omicron-induced uncertainty). We
have many exciting announcements and updates:

   -

   Registration.
   -

Early Bird Registration. The early bird registration deadline is now
      Feb 10. Sign up
      <https://na.eventscloud.com/ereg/index.php?eventid=650045&> before
then to save $50 on the cost of registration.
      -

In-Person registration flexibility. Recognizing the continuing
uncertainty due to COVID, participants who register for the In-Person
conference can shift to participating Online-Only up through May 1,
2022 — and will be refunded the difference minus a $20 processing
fee. Please see the cancellation policy language on the ACIC website
      <https://ctml.berkeley.edu/american-causal-inference-conference-2022>
      for more details.
      -

Travel scholarships. We’re pleased to offer travel scholarships for
graduate students and early career researchers. Please check
back soon for
additional details on how to apply.

   -

Abstract submissions now open. The ACIC abstract submission system
   <https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/User/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FACIC2022>
is now open! Please submit abstracts for both oral presentations (15-20
minutes) and posters by March 15. We especially encourage submissions
from early career researchers. (Please note, ACIC is not accepting
submissions for whole sessions this year.) For more information, please
   visit ACIC's Call for Proposal
   <https://ctml.berkeley.edu/call-proposals-open> website.

   -

Workshop submissions. We have extended the workshop deadline to January
31st, and encourage submissions targeting a wide range of audiences. Please
   find more information here
   <https://ctml.berkeley.edu/workshop-submissions>.

   - Data challenge. This year’s ACIC data challenge, organized by
Mathematica Policy Research and the Society for Causal Inference, will open
on Feb. 15, with submissions due April 15. More information is coming soon!

Stay tuned for more announcements soon.* And we hope to see you in
California in May!*
