I am pleased to call for nominations for the editor of Political
Analysis. Political Analysis is official journal of the Society for
Political Methodology and the Political Methodology Section of the
American Political Science Association and is published by Oxford
University Press.

The goal of Political Analysis is to advance the field of political
methodology, broadly defined, and articles cover the entire range of
interests and problems centering upon how political enquiry can be
conducted. In particular, Political Analysis encourages submissions
dealing with the logic of inquiry, measurement, estimation and
specification, and theory development. Political Analysis is the only
journal dedicated to publishing methodology papers in political
science. Information about the journal, including the editorial
board, submission instructions, and subscription information, can be
obtained on the Political Analysis Website at Oxford University
Press. http://pan.oxfordjournals.org/

Political Analysis is ranked 20th for quality out of 115 political
science journals by a recent PS survey. It is now covered by:
CSA Worldwide Political Science Abstracts
Elsevier Bibliographic Databases
ISI Social Sciences Citation Index
ISI Social SciSearch
ISI Alerting Services
ISI Current Contents/Social & Behavioral Sciences
Sociological Abstracts
Statistical Theory and Method Abstracts

The high quality of the journal is no doubt a reflection of hard work
and skilled judgement of the past editors. We owe them all a debt of
gratitude. Robert Erikson is the current editor and his four year
term ends in mid-2007. Neal Beck ushered in the move of Political
Analysis from an annual to a quarterly journal and served for four
years prior to Bob taking over. Both are happy to discuss all
matters related to the journal.

Nominations will be accepted until May 31st. The selection committee
consists of myself, Nathaniel Beck, Robert Erikson, Michael
Herron, Jonathan Katz, Phil Schrodt.

Cheers,

Jan
