Dear PolMethers

Just a few notices before we head off to APSA:

1. the Political Methodology section business meeting is at 6PM
THURSDAY. Check your conference program for room details. We have
some important agenda items, including election of office-bearers and
announcing the winners of the section's Gosnell and Miller prizes.

2. we'll be having another raffle to encourage panel attendance.
This will be the same deal as last year. I've circulated sign-up
sheets to panel chairs; you can enter the raffle as many times as you
attend methods panels. We'll announce the winners shortly after
APSA. Quite aside from winning stuff, panel attendance is really
important to the future of the section: APSA allocates panels to
sections taking into account panel attendance (yes, they actually
drop by and count bodies in the rooms) and the number of paper
proposals we receive. We've done very well on these two criteria in
the last year, but we need to keep our momentum going. So please, do
try to make it along to as many panels as you can. Kevin Quinn has
put together a really interesting set of panels and papers from the
*many* proposals he received.

3. you might recall that we also had a raffle for APSA proposals.
We're giving away 4 prizes, randomly selected from the 120+ paper
proposals we received for this year's APSA meetings. And the winners
are:

Dr. Patrick James Sturgis
Dr. Scott D. McClurg
Mr Damon M. Cann
Mark A. Pickup

I've BCC'd the winners on this e-mail. Please contact me re claiming
your prize. And thanks to everyone who submitted proposals for APSA
2005.

See you in Washington.
