Illinois State has three tenure track positions open:

ILLINOIS STATE UNIVERSITY
Normal, Illinois

AMERICAN POLITICS: NATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

The Department of Politics and Government invites applicants for a
tenure-track position in American Politics at the rank of
Assistant/Associate Professor beginning fall 2007. Teaching
responsibilities include the following undergraduate or master's level
courses:  U.S. Congressional Politics, U.S. Presidency, and U.S.
Government and Civic Practices.  We offer a 3-2 teaching load the first
year and a 3-3 teaching load for following years. Preference will be
given to applicants who hold a Ph.D. or ABDs and those who provide
evidence of teaching effectiveness and show promise of a strong record
of publication.

Send letter of application indicating your interest and suitability,
what new courses you might like to design and teach, statements of
teaching philosophy and research interests, curriculum vitae, a research
sample, graduate transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and
evidence of teaching effectiveness to:

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION / PUBLIC POLICY

The Department of Politics and Government invites applicants for an
entry-level tenure-track position in Public Administration/Policy at the
rank of Assistant Professor beginning fall 2007.  Teaching
responsibilities include the following undergraduate and master's level
courses:  Public Administration, Politics of Federalism, Human Resource
Management, Comparative Public Administration, and Public Policy
Analysis.  We offer a 3-2 teaching load the first year and a 3-3
teaching load for following years. Preference will be given to
applicants who hold a Ph.D., D.P.A., or ABDs and those who provide
evidence of teaching effectiveness and show promise of a strong record
of publication.

teaching philosophy and research interests, curriculum vitae, a research

entry-level tenure-track position in INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS at the rank
of Assistant Professor beginning fall 2007.  Teaching responsibilities
include the following undergraduate and master's level courses:
Introduction to U.S. Foreign Policy, Introduction to International
Relations, International Organizations, International Conflict and
Security, International Law, and International Diplomacy.  We offer a
3-2 teaching load the first year and a 3-3 teaching load for following
years.  Preference will be given to applicants who hold a Ph.D. or ABDs
and those who provide evidence of teaching effectiveness and show
promise of a strong record of publication.
