Dear Colleagues:

I would appreciate your help in spreading the word about the opportunity
below. And please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or
suggestions.

---------

The Transdisciplinary Institute in Applied Data Science (TRIADS) at
Washington University in St. Louis is seeking applications for a new
Postdoctoral Fellows Program for the 2023-2024 academic year. The
appointments are for one year with the possibility of renewing for a second
year contingent upon satisfactory performance, and the anticipated start
date is July 1, 2023. Fellows will receive a salary, benefits, as well as
an annual budget to pay for travel costs and research expenses.

The mission of TRIADS is to support transdisciplinary research programs
that harness advanced methods and tools in the service of better
understanding our world and addressing urgent social issues. We are looking
for fellows who are interested in researching critical issues facing
society in a collaborative way, including both methodological and applied
researchers. We take a broad view of data science and encourage applicants
from all research traditions to apply. Skills of interest include, but are
not limited to, novel methods of data collection, data analysis, algorithm
design, theoretical modeling, and applied quantitative or qualitative
analysis in relevant substantive domains.

Fellows will pursue their own research agenda in a vibrant
interdisciplinary intellectual community and connect with mentors in
multiple fields. In addition, fellows will be responsible for
participating/leading TRIADS activities and honing their professional
skills through constructing a new curriculum of workshops and short courses
for our community. We are looking for self-motivated scholars who will
contribute new ideas and actively seek collaborations with other fellows,
faculty, and students across all schools at Washington University.

*Qualifications*
We are looking for early-stage scholars who want to work in an inclusive,
collaborative, and interdisciplinary research environment. All applicant
must have a doctorate before their appointment begins, but we are open to
many fields of study. Applicants may have training in any number of
relevant areas including the social sciences, computer science, statistics,
public health, or the digital humanities.

*Apply*

Jacob Montgomery
