THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA ST. PETERSBURG invites applications for an
assistant or associate professor in American Politics beginning August 7,
2009.
Minimum qualifications: Earned doctorate in political science;
specialization in American government; research and teaching record
commensurate with rank of appointment; commitment to civic engagement.
Preferred qualifications: ability to teach urban politics; ability to work
in a cross-disciplinary environment. The applicant will join a four-member
political science group within the Department of History, Government and
International Affairs. Applicants must show evidence of outstanding
research and teaching and will be expected to establish an independent
program of research that can generate extramural support. The applicant
will predominately teach undergraduate courses and will be expected to
mentor student research.
