Applications for the SICSS Summer School in Computational Social Sciences at the University of Rochester (May 13 - May 24) are now open! Seniors planning to pursue a PhD, Master's students, PhD students, and junior faculty within 7 years of obtaining their PhD from different fields interested in computational social sciences are welcome to apply. We are very excited to be organizing the event for the 3rd time this year!

This summer school will give you the opportunity to build an exciting project with a team of researchers, expand your research network, learn about the more quantitative aspects of social sciences, and hear from a diverse range of speakers in the field.

For more information about the program and our speakers (with more to come), visit our website: https://sicss.io/2024/rochester/.

Applicants must submit the following documents: a curriculum vitae, a statement of interest (maximum of two pages) describing your academic background, any current research, future research ideas, and your interest in computational social science, one writing sample (no more than 35 pages), and the names and emails of two referees. More information can be found here: https://sicss.io/2024/rochester/apply.

There is no tuition for the summer school, and we plan to cover the costs of lunch, coffee, and snacks.

The deadline for applications is Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 11:59 PM.

Since we have a limited number of spots and the admissions are competitive, we encourage you to apply as early as possible.

We are planning to organize the summer school in-person.

Please let us know if you have any questions!

Best wishes,
Cantay Caliskan
