Two postdoc positions in political/social sciences (24 months each, starting in early 2023) are available at the University of Milan within the research project DEMOPE “Democracy under Pressure”, led by Andrea Ceron.

DEMOPE aims to assess the impact of crises on democracy and democratic institutions, investigating everyday politics (both from a strategic and a communication perspective), decision-making processes and their outputs, trying to disentangle short term and long term effects.

The candidates should possess a good knowledge of quantitative research methods and techniques, within the theoretical framework of political science or related fields: e.g. machine learning, quantitative analysis of texts, images and audio/video contents, causal inference, quasi-experimental methods, time series analysis/panel data, survey analysis, data scraping and automated data collection skills. A good knowledge of Stata and R (or Python) is needed. Holding a PhD is a plus but this is not a requirement.

 Deadline: 2 December 2022 (23:59)
