I am very pleased to announce that Nathaniel Beck, Professor of Politics 
at NYU, is this year's recipient of the Society for Political Methodology 
Career Achievement Award.  This is the top honor that we bestow and is 
given to recognize an outstanding career of intellectual accomplishment 
and service to the profession in the Political Methodology field.  I 
congratulate Neal on this terrific achievement.

Thank you to the selection committee, consisting of Nancy Burns (chair), 
Jan Box-Steffensmeier, Jake Bowers, Jim Stimson, and Tse-min Lin.  They 
will be posting a statement of their own describing Neal's achievements.
