*Assistant Professor, Comparative Political **Behaviour*

The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track
position in Comparative Political Behaviour. The position requires
excellent skills and demonstrated training in methods such as advanced
quantitative analysis, formal modelling, survey research methods,
experimentation, or computational modelling. The successful candidate will
be expected to contribute to teaching in our sequence of methods courses,
particularly at the graduate level.

An applicant’s record of performance must provide evidence of outstanding
research potential and the ability to teach effectively at the
undergraduate and graduate level, as well as the ability to provide
supervision for graduate students. Appointment is expected to be at the
rank of Assistant Professor, but appointment at a higher rank is possible
under exceptional circumstances. Candidates should have completed their PhD
or be very near completion. The language of instruction at McGill is
English, but a working knowledge of French is an asset.

Applications should include curriculum vitae, graduate transcript, three
letters of reference, a sample of written work and material pertinent to
teaching skills. The position start date is August 1, 2019.
