POLITICAL METHODOLOGY/APPLIED STATISTICS

The Department of Political Science and the interdisciplinary Applied
Statistics and Computation Program at Washington University in St.
Louis is seeking candidates for an open rank position in political
methodology to begin Fall 2007. The successful candidate will join
the Political Science department and become a core faculty member of
the Applied Statistics program.  Senior candidates will be considered
for the Directorship of the Applied Statistics program.  The Applied
Statistics program is designed to support collaborative quantitative
research across the College of Arts and Sciences and to provide
statistical methodological training to both undergraduate and
graduate students. The successful candidate will have strong
technical skills, a substantive research interest, and a commitment
to both undergraduate and graduate instruction. The program is
particularly interested in candidates who are conducting research in
innovative quantitative methods. Teaching will be divided between the
Program in Applied Statistics and Political Science. Consideration of
applicants will begin on October 1, 2006, and continue until the
position is filled. Untenured applicants should submit a cover
letter, vitae, statement of research/teaching interests, at least
three letters of reference, writing samples, and other relevant
materials. Tenured applicants should submit a letter of interest and
a curriculum vitae.  All materials should be sent to Andrew D.
