Dear Colleagues,

The 18th Annual State Politics and Policy Conference will be held from June
7-9 on Penn State’s University Park campus in State College.  The event is
hosted by the McCourtney Institute of Democracy.  The theme of this year's
conference is “Can State Politics Transcend Partisan Gridlock?”  Proposals
related to the conference theme and all proposals related
to state politics and policy will be considered.Proposals can now be
submitted at the conference website, http://democracyinstitute.la.psu.edu/
sppc.  The proposal deadline is January 19th, with program decisions being
announced in February.  Graduate student poster presenters who are members
of the State Politics section will be eligible for a travel stipend, in
part through the Carsey Fund.
