Dear PolMeth community,

We are pleased to announce the fourth Latin American PolMeth (LAPolMeth) meeting, which will be hosted by Universidade de São Paulo in São Paulo, Brazil. After our successful three first events in Santiago (Chile), Bogotá (Colombia), and Montevideo (Uruguay), we are excited to open this year’s call for abstracts. The goal of the meeting is to bring together junior and senior scholars who are interested in discussing innovative research methods and their applications.

The event, sponsored by Universidade de São Paulo, Princeton University, UNC-Chapel Hill, and the The Society for Political Methodology, will take place on November 20-21, 2020. It will feature workshop-style panels, a poster session for graduate students, and two outstanding keynote speakers: Suzanna Linn (Penn State University) and Arthur Spirling (NYU).

We welcome proposals that focus on methodological innovations as well as those that apply cutting-edge methods to empirical problems of substantive interest. Those interested in participating are requested to submit their abstracts through our application form, available at https://www.cambridge.org/core/membership/spm/register. The deadline for submission is May 8, 2020. We will inform all applicants of a decision by May 20, 2020.

To learn more about the event, and to get the latest information, you can visit the event’s website: https://www.cambridge.org/core/membership/spm/conferences/latin-american-political-methods-meeting-2020

We hope you can join us this year in São Paulo!

Sincerely,

The LAPolMeth Core Team.
