The CALL FOR PAPERS for the

4th Annual General Conference of the European Political Science Association

has been EXTENDED to Friday, December 20, 2013

for those who experienced issues with web server load, Christmas parties, or just being absent-minded!
Conference details:

Date: June 19-21 2014
Venue: Edinburgh, Scotland
Submission: http://conference.epsanet.org

The fourth annual conference of the European Political Science Association will take place from June 19-21 2014 at the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. We expect about 600-700 participants from all over the world to attend the Edinburgh conference, in which cutting-edge research is paired with excellent networking opportunities in a great environment. This site for the conference is consistent with EPSA’s policy of holding the Annual General Meeting in unique, central, and interesting venues. We are expecting upwards of 700 participants from all over the world to attend the Edinburgh conference. You can expect that the EPSA 2014 meeting will maintain its commitment to featuring cutting-edge research paired with excellent networking opportunities in a great urban setting.

Our previous three conferences in Dublin, Berlin, and Barcelona were highly successful. In fact from a post-conference survey of delegates who attended the Barcelona conference, the overall satisfaction score was an outstanding 8.2 of 10 (n=207).
Conference proposals are organised slightly differently this year from previous years, using "categories" instead of sections. We have a total of 18 categories that are not mutually exclusive. By indicating which areas apply to your proposal, you will aid the programme committee in assigning you to an appropriate category expert to form panels with similar papers. This will have the same effect as the traditional "sections" but we hope that this year it will make it easier to find the best fit for every good proposal. EPSA also invites proposals to attend as a panel chair or discussant, which can be submitted separately at http://conference.epsanet.org using the same set of categories.

This year we are also placing a renewed emphasis on making partners welcome, with a variety of amazing social events before, during, and following the conference. These will include whisky tastings, a castle barbecue, a golf tournament, a massive Friday night party with music, and tours of the old city. (Check out the photo albums on the EPSA Facebook page.) This is not a conference you will want to miss!

The capital of Scotland, Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful and charming cities in Europe. With its magnificent architecture and stunning skyline, Edinburgh combines history and culture in a vibrant atmosphere, offering opportunities for conference participants to enjoy a wide range of fantastic attractions. Our venue lies in the centre of the city in the beautiful Georgian "New Town", just a few minutes walk from the river and the looming Edinburgh Castle and the famous Royal Mile. A city of contrasts, Edinburgh juxtaposes traditional pubs, modern world cuisine, and hip coffee shops, age old skills and crafts on display in specialist shops with major fashion stores.

EPSA employs a policy of non-discrimination and therefore does not have panels for graduate students only. In the spirit of this equal participation policy, however, all attendees face the same registration fees, although registration will be discounted for EPSA members. (EPSA may be joined from the EPSA webpage, see http://www.epsanet.org.)
