Dear Colleagues,

Please be reminded that the deadline for submitting proposals for the APSA
2006 meeting (8/31-9/3, Philadelphia) is 11/15/05. Submission guidelines
can be found at the APSA website (http://www.apsanet.org). A copy of the
Methods Division's Call for Papers is attached below. I look forward to
receiving many exciting proposals!

---------------------

The Political Methodology Division invites paper, panel and roundtable
proposals on all aspects of quantitative methodology. Contribution of new
methods and models accommodating unique features of political data,
introduction and adaptation of useful methods from other disciplines, and
innovative application of existing methods are all welcome. Advancement
in any of the key areas of identification, measurement, functional form,
estimation, and inference is valued, and proposals exploring recent
development in statistical learning theory, computational modeling, and
causal inference theory are of particular interest. The conference theme
is "Power Reconsidered", and proposals addressing methodological issues
directly related to the theme are especially encouraged.
