I'm pleased to announce that we have an agreement with the Department of 
Political Science and the School of Public and International Affairs at 
the UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA to host the 2014 Annual Summer Meeting of the 
Society for Political Methodology.  So we will meet July 24-26, 2010 (mark 
your calendars!) in Athens, Georgia.

I thank our future hosts, including Keith Poole, for making this 
commitment.  As many of us know (especially Fred Boehmke), hosting the 
meeting means dedicating serious financial resources and considerable 
personal time.  In fact, there have been eras in our history in which it 
was difficult to line up future hosts.  This is no longer true.  Having a 
commitment for the next four meetings is a testament to the strengths of 
the Society and our preeminent standing in the discipline.
