Dear PolMeth Community,

We are delighted to announce the 2024 Summer Meeting of the Japanese
Society for Quantitative Political Science (JSQPS), scheduled for July 6th
and 7th. We extend an invitation for oral presentations based on original
research. Below are details regarding the meeting and the proposal
submission process. Information about participant registration will be
disseminated by the end of May.

*1. Date and Venue*

   - Date: July 6-7 (Saturday and Sunday), 2024
   - Venue: Kochi University of Technology, Eikokuji Campus, Kochi, JAPAN (

*2. Objectives*

   - We invite proposals that emphasize empirical and positive research in
political science, aiming for submission to international English-language
   journals.
   - Each presenter will be given ample time to engage with the audience
   directly through discussion and questions.
   - Although discussants are not assigned to each presentation, we offer a
mentorship program for students, early-career researchers, and women,
allowing them to receive comprehensive feedback after the presentation.
   - Priority will be given to women.
   - Presentations in Japanese are welcome.
   - For reference, please see our past programs:
   http://www-cc.gakushuin.ac.jp/~e982440/conference/past.htm

(150-250 words), by May 11, 2024 (Saturday, JST) via the following link:

   - Notification of acceptance will be sent by May 31, 2024 (Friday).
   - You may submit multiple proposals for co-authored works, but each
participant can make at most one presentation.
   - We will not be accepting submissions for poster presentations.

*4. Additional Information*

   - A participation fee may be applicable. Should there be any fee, you
   will be notified before registration.
