This exciting two-year position, situated within the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, will involve teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, designing and developing new course modules, conducting research, and participating in administrative duties. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Applied Social Data Science Programme<https://www.tcd.ie/Political_Science/postgraduate/pg-dip-applied-social-data-science/>.

Requirements for this position include proficiency in Python and/or R. Preferred skills encompass text analysis, machine learning, data science, quantitative text analysis, image processing, network analysis, and statistical forecasting. The area of research specialization is open.

In addition to research design and methods, the ideal candidate will possess teaching experience, administrative skills, strong communication abilities, and a record of teamwork. Attributes such as problem-solving, motivation, professional development, and community contribution are also highly desirable.
