I don't know of any sector specific FDI inflow data for China, but the major
investors (in terms of global FDI) are the EU, Japan, and the United States
and they all keep relatively detailed outflows data. If you go to the Bureau
of Economic Analysis website (bea.gov) you can get some detailed data on the
types of US FDI into China.  There are probably similar sources for the EU
and Japan.  You won't get sector specific data on all FDI into China, but
you could get most of it.  I hope this helps.

I am looking for data on Foreign Direct Investment going into the different
sectors of the Chinese economy over time. I'm looking for more disaggregated
than just the standard industrial classification data such as Primary,
Secondary etc. I would highly appreciate any one suggesting me related
website etc. other than the China Statistical Year Book or the Chinese
Commerce Ministry where I can look for such data. I will be thankful to
anyone willing to share such data with me.
