The following link should provide county senate totals consistent with 
what the NYT has.

http://adric.sscnet.ucla.edu/senate2010county.csv

These data may or may not match the final certified totals from the SoS 
offices.  I think the NYT is probably going off of the AP's 
election-night feed.  So you might be better off with David Leip's data 
which I presume reports the certified totals as others have suggested.  
Of course, for most purposes the NYT counts are probably fine.

I haven't used or checked these closely, but it pained me to think of 
someone hand punching the NYT flash map (which has, roughly speaking, a 
.csv sitting behind it).  Let me know if you find any errors.  Enjoy.
