The AAPOR Short Course subcommittee is happy to announce that we are currently accepting short course proposals for the conference next year. If you are interested in teaching a short course, or if you have an idea for a short course that you would like to take, this link is for you: https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5110565/AAPOR-2020-Short-Course-Submission <https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5110565/AAPOR-2020-Short-Course-Submission>

A few things to know before you submit:

1. If teaching, you will be asked for the following information:
Name and contact information of instructor(s)
Bio of instructor(s) (less than 100 words)
Proposed course title
Abstract/short description (less than 200 words)
Course objectives and planned hands-on activities (few sentences)

2. If you are proposing a course you would like to take, the list is much shorter:
Proposed course title
Suggested instructors
What you hope to learn from this course (course objectives)

3. Deadline for submissions is September 15, 2019

4. Short course logistics
All courses are 3.5 hours long
The course should be interactive, with at least 30 min devoted to hands-on activities and discussions
Course sizes vary, but we average around 35 participants

5. Perks of teaching
$1,000 honorarium
2 free nights in the conference hotel
Waived conference registration fee

The short course committee is looking forward to reading your abstracts!
