Dear Political Methodologists (esp those in or near the BOS-WASH Megalopolis),

hi. It's the time of year for daylight savings time, chocolate bunnies,
unleavened bread, and the annual NorthEast Methodology Program, which
will be Friday April 14 at NYU.

***PLEASE RSVP IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDING.***

11:30 - 1:00: Lunch

1:00 - 2:30: Kosuke Imai, Princeton
"Quantifying Missing Information in Ecological Inference."
             http://www.nyu.edu/gsas/dept/politics/seminars/imai_nemp.shtml

2:45 - 4:15: Neal Beck, NYU
"Random Coefficient Models: Finite Sample Properties
              for Time-Series--Cross-Section Data"
             http://www.nyu.edu/gsas/dept/politics/seminars/beck_rcm_pa.pdf

4:30 - 5:45: Luke Keele, Ohio State University
"How To Be Smooth: Automated Smoothing in Political Science"
             http://www.nyu.edu/gsas/dept/politics/seminars/keele_nemp.pdf

All events will take place in the Kimmel Center (900 series room), at
the corner of West Fourth Street and Laguardia Place. Easy to get
to from the A,C,E (subway to West Fourth, proceed East on West Fourth
4 or 5 blocks); the N,R,W at 8th street, or the 6 at Astor Place.
If you can find Manhattan, you can find the corner of West Fourth
Street and Laguardia Place....
[Note that this is not where the Politics Department is, it is
more of an NYU student center.]

Lunch will be served about 11:45. Then we have 3 papers, with plenty
of time for discussion of each, some time for breaks between
papers, and lots of cold beer available afterwards.

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP to Tanisha Johnson-Campbell
([log in to unmask]). Please let her know if you
will be coming in time for lunch, and -- while spots are still open --
if you would like to join us for dinner in the Village.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly.

Hope to see lots of you on the 14th,

-jonathan
