Hello PolMeth,

This is a quick, friendly, reminder that paper proposals for the first Political Networks Online Colloquium meeting will be accepted until tomorrow 2/24!

Please contact the Colloquium coordinators, Marina Duque ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) and Matthew Simonson ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>), or the Chair of PolNet, Elizabeth Menninga ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>), if you have any questions or concerns.

Details follow:

The Political Networks section of APSA is pleased to launch the Political Networks Online Colloquium, which will be held monthly during the Spring 2023 semester.

The Colloquium aims to bring together a community of scholars to provide feedback on ongoing research about political networks. Each month we will meet for one hour to discuss one paper, which will be assigned two discussants. To encourage audience participation, the Colloquium will have a read-ahead format with no presentation.

We are now accepting paper proposals. We welcome the participation of researchers in political science or related fields—including sociology, communication, psychology, public policy, and computer science. We seek proposals for papers that make a theoretical or empirical contribution to the analysis of political networks or that present a novel application of network analysis, across a broad range of subfields and methodologies. Early drafts, dissertation chapters, or pre-analysis plans are welcome.

Proposals can be submitted online via the following link:

Paper proposals for our first meeting will be accepted until February 24, 2023. We aim to notify authors of our program decisions by late February.

Alternatively, if you would like to register as an audience participant or volunteer as a discussant, please send us your contact information via the following link: https://forms.gle/BWQefCAznQbpiJyq7
