—--

The Violence, Instability, and Peace (VIP) Workshop organizing committee is happy to announce our call for proposals for our Fall 2023 series.

We are a virtual and international forum for scholars studying conflict, protest, crime, peace, and related topics. Our workshop aims to provide feedback on research-in-progress, including working papers and well-developed pre-analysis plans to scholars from political science and related disciplines (e.g., sociology, economics , psychology) across subfields. For more information, please see our website here ( https://vip-workshop.github.io/ ).

We are open to work from scholars at all career stages. However, we particularly aim to provide opportunities for *junior scholars and early career researchers* , including pre-tenure and non-tenure track faculty, post-docs, and graduate students. We are committed to promoting opportunities for scholars from historically excluded communities.

We will be hosting four virtual workshops next semester on *09/21 , 10/12 ,* and *11/09* at 8am PST/11am EST/4pm GMT.

We will feature two papers per one-hour session. We are a feedback-oriented workshop, aimed at helping authors improve their papers prior to journal submission. All attendees are expected to read papers in advance and come prepared with comments.

If you are interested in *presenting your work this semester, please apply here by August 28th at 11:59pm EST:* ** ( https://forms.gle/gcAYsdqGTTwA3yNCA ) *https://forms.gle/GswoAPHGCYvDqua59*
