Dear friends,
The BigSurv Conference (Big Data Meets Survey Science) will be held for the first time in Latin America, in Quito, Ecuador, from October 26 to 29, 2023. This is a high-level global and multidisciplinary initiative that brings together academia, industry, and civil society.
Within the framework of BigSurv, two vibrant and complementary events will take place:
1. The first event is the Data Challenge on the topic of chronic child malnutrition, in collaboration with the REDNI Foundation (www.redni.org). This topic is of utmost concern in the Latin American region, and we hope young people also participate in this effort. The goal of the Data Challenge is to use data science for the common good, and professionals, students, and researchers interested in the challenge's objectives are invited to participate. Furthermore, winners will receive significant economic prizes. You can find all the information about this Data Challenge at the following link: https://www.bigsurv.org/DataChallenge
2. The second event consists of short courses. You can find all the information here: https://www.bigsurv.org/shortcourses
Online registration ends on October 15th, so please share this information with those whom you believe may be interested in the BigSurv Conference, the short courses, and the Data Challenge.
Sincerely,
BigSurv23 Scientific Committee
