Hi all,
Please see the below job ads for three, one-year positions at Saint Louis
University in Comparative Politics (Middle East or Europe), American
Institutions, and American Judicial Politics.  We will be conducting
tenure-track searches for these same areas of specialization in the fall.
 The candidates must also be able to teach Research Methods at the
undergraduate and graduate level.  Please encourage your students to

*One-Year Non-Tenure Track Instructor or Assistant Professor in*
*Judicial Politics*

Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student
learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a
one-
year, non-tenure-track appointment in American politics, with a
specialization
in judicial politics, beginning August 2013. PhD in Political Science should
be near completion by August 2013. The appointment will be at the level of
Instructor or, if the PhD is in hand, Assistant Professor. Candidates will
teach
courses in American constitutional law, civil liberties, judicial politics,
and
research methods, along with other graduate and undergraduate courses in
American politics and institutions. The teaching load is 3/3.

In August 2013, the Department will begin a search to fill a tenure-track
position with this same specialization, and the person holding the one-year
position is welcome to apply for the tenure-track position. The Department
offers BA, MA, and MPA degrees and collaborates with a variety of other
programs throughout the university such as the Honors program, Women’s
Studies, and American Studies.
