AMERICAN POLITICS.  The MIT Political Science Department invites applications for two full-time positions in American Politics. The search is open to rank and will consider both candidates for tenure track assistant  professor positions and more senior, already tenured professors.
Responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate teaching and research supervision.  MIT is an AA/EO employer and encourages applications from women and minority candidates.  Candidates applying at the assistant professor level must have their PhD already completed or very near to completion. American Politics, Assistant Professor, Fall 2012

The Department of Political Science at Boston University seeks to recruit an outstanding scholar and teacher at the Assistant Professor level for a tenure-track position in American politics. The appointment will begin in September 2012, pending budgetary approval.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates whose interests are centered on the study of participants in and supporters of political movements in areas such as African American politics, women and politics, conservative Christian movements, and the Tea Party. The successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to teaching the undergraduate Introduction to American Politics course and the graduate field seminar in American politics. Faculty in the Department are expected to regularly teach the full range of courses, including graduate and undergraduate field courses as well as two more specialized undergraduate courses within their field of interest.

A Ph.D. is required at time of appointment. Salary is competitive.

International Relations, Assistant Professor, Fall 2012

The Department of Political Science at Boston University seeks to hire a promising scholar at the Assistant Professor level for a tenure-track position. The appointment will begin in September 2012, pending budgetary approval.

The successful applicant will be willing to teach field courses at graduate and undergraduate levels covering all major approaches and theories in the field of international relations and two undergraduate courses on more defined topics. The department is open to applicants using any approach or methodology in their own research as long as they are committed to covering all major theories and approaches in the international relations field in their teaching. The successful candidate will be someone expected to establish a national and international reputation in the field while compiling a successful teaching record.

A Ph.D. is required by the time of appointment. Salary is competitive.
