Dear PolMeth Community,

Given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the hotel worker strike and
levels of APSA participation, we wanted to alert you to the following.

(1) We will repeat the content of the summer PolMeth business meeting at
an updated location: Thursday, August 31st from 6:30-7:00 pm at the LA
Convention Center, Room 304B.

(2) All new business (awards, announcements) will take place ONLINE on
Friday, September 29th via Zoom/Gather (similar to our successful online
meeting last year).

(3) If you are a junior scholar who plans to be on the job market this
academic year, we WELCOME you to our Zoom business meeting. We will provide
you with an opportunity to NETWORK with other methods scholars (and
potential employers!) so that you have a meaningful chance to connect with
others in your field ahead of the job market.

(4) If you have an open position in political methodology, please join us
as well.

*Please register here for the online meeting on Friday September 29th at
noon CST: https://forms.gle/QP2izWGhhAqxZeZf7
<https://forms.gle/QP2izWGhhAqxZeZf7>*

We care deeply that we provide you a meaningful chance to engage with your
intellectual community, and we work hard to set up these opportunities. If
you will be at APSA, we will see you at the meeting. If you are not
attending or if the quality of your participation is affected by the
uncertainty surrounding the meeting, know that we are working hard to
provide you with an alternative venue as well.

*Please also remember that you do not need to register for APSA to be part
of the Society of Political Methodology*. We welcome you to join us at any
time by signing up as a member HERE:

Sincerely,
