SocialSphere, a leading modern public opinion research firm, is seeking an experienced and innovative professional to join our team as the Director of Research. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing rigorous polling methodologies, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data collection, and advancing the field of public opinion research. As the Director of Research, you will lead a team of researchers, oversee large-scale polling projects, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities:



· Develop and implement innovative and rigorous polling methodologies to accurately measure public opinion on social and political issues.

· Lead and manage a team of researchers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

· Oversee the design, execution, and analysis of large-scale polling projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.

· Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their research objectives and translate them into effective polling strategies.

· Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in polling methodology, and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

· Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and academic institutions to leverage expertise.

· Conduct quality control measures to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and validity throughout the polling process.

· Conduct advanced statistical analysis of polling data, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for clients.

· Present research findings to clients, industry conferences, and other relevant forums, showcasing thought leadership in polling methodology.

· Provide strategic guidance and insights to clients based on polling results, contributing to their decision-making processes.

  *   Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and analysts, to integrate polling data with other research methodologies and data sources.
  *   Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in data collection, storage, and analysis.



Requirements:

· Master's or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field, such as statistics, social sciences, or political science.

· Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and overseeing large-scale research projects.

· Extensive experience in designing and implementing polling methodologies, preferably in social or political research.

· Strong knowledge of sampling techniques, survey design, and statistical analysis methods.

· Proficiency in using statistical analysis software such as SPSS, R, or Python.

· Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present research to diverse audiences.

· Ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders, understanding their research needs and objectives.

· Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation and improvement in polling methodologies.

· Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.

· Familiarity with social media analytics and its impact on public opinion research is a plus.
