Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to solicit nominations for the Society for Political Methodology Career Achievement Award. The career achievement is the highest honor bestowed by the Society and recognizes the foundational, distinguished and sustained contributions to the field and the Society made by the recipients over their careers. No award was made in 2023, we will be making two awards this year.

The 2022 award was given to Walter Mebane. In prior years, the recipients were Larry Bartels, Howard Rosenthal, Phillip Schrodt, Michael Ward, Keith Poole, Douglas Rivers, John Freeman, Janet Box-Steffensmeier, Henry Brady, Nathaniel Beck, Gary King, James Stimson, John Jackson, and Christopher Achen.

Please send nominations to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> prior to June 15. The award will be announced at the SPM award meeting during the annual conference, to be held this year at the UC Riverside. Nominations should include a brief description of the nominee’s contributions to the field.

Luke Keele, Teppei Yamamoto, Gary King, and Doug Rivers (chair)
