The Social Science Research Institute at Duke University invites
applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in survey research methods. The
Associate will have four primary responsibilities: (1) collaborate on
research leading to publication; (2) advise social and behavioral
scientists on campus on issues of survey design, implementation, and
analysis; (3) teach workshops and develop resources on survey research
tools and methods, including the Qualtrics online survey software that Duke
provides to its user communities; (4) support and assist with the operation
and administration of the Duke Initiative on Survey Methodology (DISM); and
The Associate will be supervised by Dr. Sunshine Hillygus, professor of
political science and public policy, and director of DISM.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in survey methods,
experience in conducting survey research, and familiarity with survey and
statistical software and will hold a Ph.D. in a social or behavioral
science discipline. The Associate will be expected to participate in
research leading to publication. Responsibility, initiative, good judgment,
and the ability to work well on a team are required.  This position is
full-time and offers a salary of $50,000-$55,000, and is eligible for
