The Society for Political Methodology's Emerging Scholar Award Committee
requests nominations for the Political Methodology Emerging Scholar Award,
which seeks to "honor a young researcher, within ten years of their degree,
who is making notable contributions to the field of political
methodology." Past winners include Kosuke Imai (2011), Jake Bowers
(2012), Luke
Keele (2013), Jens Hainmueller (2014), Justin Grimmer (2015), Rocio
Titiunik (2016), Betsy Sinclair (2017), Arthur Spirling (2018), Teppei
Yamamoto (2019), and Jacob Montgomery (2020).

The committee will accept nominations until May 19. Nominations may be
sent to any member of the committee—Sunshine Hillygus ([log in to unmask]),
Burt Monroe ([log in to unmask]), Tom Clark ([log in to unmask]) and should
include the nominee's vita and (if not evident from the vita) the date of
the nominee's PhD.

Stronger nominations will be those that directly address the Award
criteria, specifying the particular nominee's contributions to the field,
how these contributions are notable and so warrant recognition with this
award.

This is a great opportunity to celebrate the contributions made by younger
scholars to the Society and the scholarly literature, so we thank you in
advance for your nominations.
