Dear colleges from the PolMeth listserv,
Please see below our call for application to LaPolMeth V. Many thanks for
sharing!
Best wishes,
Santiago.

Dear PolMeth community:

We are excited to announce the Call for Abstracts for the fifth Latin
American PolMeth (LAPolMeth) meeting. The event will take place on November
19-20, 2021 and will be hosted by ITAM in Mexico City, though participants
will also have the option to attend virtually. Sponsors include the Society
for Political Methodology, Princeton University, and the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The goal of the meeting is to bring together junior and senior scholars who
are interested in discussing innovative research methods and their
applications. As in our previous four events in Santiago (Chile), Bogotá
(Colombia), Montevideo (Uruguay) and (virtually) São Paulo (Brazil), the
conference will feature several workshop-style panels, a poster session for
graduate students, and two outstanding keynote speakers: Jennifer Larson
(Vanderbilt) and Cyrus Samii (NYU).

We are interested in both proposals that make methodological innovations of
their own, and in papers that apply cutting-edge methods to substantively
important topics.

Those who wish to attend should submit their abstract through the
application form available at
https://www.cambridge.org/core/membership/spm/conferences.

The application process will be open through May 31, 2021. Those interested
in attending must indicate paper title, author information, and an abstract
not exceeding 250 words. Graduate students must indicate their intention to
participate in the poster session. We will notify applicants of a decision
by June 18, 2021.

For further information about the event, please visit the conference’s
official website: https://latam-polmeth.github.io/Meeting2021/.

We hope you can join us in Mexico City this November!

Sincerely,

The LAPolMeth Organizing Team
