Extended deadline: CfA for the Latin American Political Methodology Meeting, 2021

Dear PolMeth community:

The deadline for submitting abstracts to the fifth Latin American PolMeth (PolMeth) meeting ends Monday, June 7. Please submit your proposal through the application form available at https://www.cambridge.org/core/membership/spm/conferences. We are interested in both proposals that make methodological innovations of their own, and in papers that apply cutting-edge methods to substantively important topics. We will notify applicants of a decision by June 18, 2021.

The meeting will take place on November 19-20, 2021 and will be hosted by ITAM in Mexico City, though participants will also have the option to attend virtually. Sponsors include the Society for Political Methodology, Princeton University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The goal of the meeting is to bring together junior and senior scholars who are interested in discussing innovative research methods and their applications. The conference will feature several workshop-style panels, a poster session for graduate students, and two outstanding keynote speakers: Jennifer Larson (Vanderbilt) and Cyrus Samii (NYU). For further information, please visit the conference’s official website: https://latam-polmeth.github.io/Meeting2021/.

We hope you can join us in Mexico City this November!

Sincerely,

The LAPolMeth Organizing Team
