Columbia University’s Department of Political Science invites applications
for a tenure-track position in American politics with a focus in the area
of race and inequality.

We are especially interested in candidates whose work examines aspects of
criminal justice from a variety of methodological approaches, including
formal theory. The position is at the rank of Assistant Professor and will
begin July 1, 2022.

*Qualifications*

Ph.D. required at the time of appointment. Candidates will be expected to
sustain an active research and publication agenda and teaching in
undergraduate and graduate programs.

*Application Instructions*

Applicants should upload a cover letter, curriculum vitae, contact
information for three letters of recommendation, a writing sample, and a
statement addressing past and/or potential contributions to diversity and
inclusion through teaching, professional activity, and/or service. The
search committee will begin reviewing applications September 7, 2021, and
will continue to consider applications until the position is filled.
