The 2nd Barcelona-Gothenburg Workshop on Experimental Political Science

CALL FOR PAPERS

Dates: May 4-5, 2016
Venue: Consorci Universitat Internacional Menéndez Pelayo Barcelona (CUIMPB)
Scientific committee: Peter Esaiasson (University of Gothenburg), Jordi Muñoz (University of Barcelona), Wouter van der Brug (University of Amsterdam), Sara B. Hobolt (London School of Economics), Elisabeth Ivarsflaten (University of Bergen), and Rune Stubager (Aarhus University).
Deadline for paper proposals: 15th January 2016

The workshop is an event conceived to bring together researchers who use experimental methodology to address political phenomena. Empirical works from any subfield of the discipline are welcome. We also welcome methodological contributions on experimental design or analysis, and works that explore the relationship between experimental and observational data. Both senior and junior scholars are encouraged to participate. This is the second edition of the workshop. Last year it gathered a diverse set of scholars from several countries with high quality contributions. Last year’s full program and papers can be found at http://lore.gu.se/experiments-workshop

The workshop will accomodate about 14 papers over the course of two days, plus a keynote lecture by professor Paul Sniderman (Stanford University).
We invite those interested in participating in the workshop to submit paper proposals (including name, affiliation and position of author/s and an abstract) before the 15th January 2016 to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or through the form at https://dec.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_b9kfMIjNMIHxIRD. The paper selection will be notified by 15th February 2016. We expect relatively short papers (not more than 8.000 words) and they should be submitted by April 28th.

Participants are encouraged to seek funding for travel from their home institutions, although a limited number travel grants might be available for PhD Students with quality contributions and no alternative sources of funding. Coffee breaks and a workshop dinner will be covered by the organizers. Please direct general enquiries to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> and logistic questions to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
