Hi all,

NORC at the University of Chicago, under a contract with the USAID Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) Center, seeks to engage two part-time researchers for one year to synthesize research, design and/or suggest areas for new research, and carry out other knowledge dissemination tasks in support of the Center's 2019-2020 Learning Agenda. One researcher will work on countering disinformation and disinformation's impacts on democratic discourse and democratic processes, while the other one will work on preventing and responding to restrictions on freedoms of association, assembly, and expression, and on strategies to enable and protect civic space. Candidates need not be located in the Washington, DC area, but must be able to travel to Washington, DC on a quarterly basis and possibly undertake other travel as required. The positions are open to ABDs.
