We have extended the deadline for graduate student paper proposals for the St. Louis Area Methods Meeting (SLAMM) to Friday, March 3.

In addition to having time for a question and answer session, each student presenter will be matched with a faculty discussant who will provide in-depth comments. The papers will then be hosted publicly on the SLAMM website (https://polisci.wustl.edu/slamm ).

Through the generosity of multiple sources in the University of Missouri system, we have modest funding to help subsidize the attendance of graduate students. To submit a proposal, send a paper title, abstract, and CV to Laron K. Williams at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Please use the subject "SLAMM proposal".

Please encourage your students to apply! We hope to see you in Columbia in April.

Laron

The original call for papers is below:

The meeting will start the morning of Friday, April 21 and will end in the afternoon on Saturday, April 22. SLAMM will feature an exciting lineup of faculty presentations by:

We encourage you to attend this event, which includes a social function as well as a lot of great methodology talks. We have reserved a bloc of rooms at the Broadway Columbia (http://doubletree3.hilton.com/en/hotels/missouri/the-broadway-columbia-a-doubletree-by-hilton-hotel-COUTBDT/index.html); be sure to register by March 20 and use the code MPS so that you get the discounted rate. If you have trouble registering online, please call at 573-875-7000.

We also have a bloc of rooms reserved in on-campus housing. The rates are $52.50/night single and $29.50/person/night double (two to a room). If you are interested in staying on campus during SLAMM, please let me know.
