Dear Colleagues

The Division of Social
Sciences<http://nyuad.nyu.edu/academics/academic-divisions/social-science.html>,
the Social Sciences Experimental Laboratory
(SSEL)<http://nyuad.nyu.edu/research/faculty-research/ssel-laboratory.html>at
New
York University Abu Dhabi <http://nyuad.nyu.edu/>, and the NYU Abu Dhabi
Institute <http://nyuad.nyu.edu/research/nyuad-institute.html> are pleased
to sponsor the 2015 Winter Experimental Social Sciences Institute (WESSI
2015) at NYU Abu Dhabi January 7-22, 2015, see

http://nyuad.nyu.edu/en/research/faculty-research/ssel-laboratory/winter-institute.html
.

WESSI 2015 is designed to provide training for social science graduate
students and junior faculty in experimental methods, broadly defined (lab,
field, lab-in-the-field, biological, and survey experiments will be
covered). The 2015 Institute will also include special sessions on the
issues and concerns of conducting experiments in Africa, the Middle East,
and the surrounding region. Students at the Institute will be given the
opportunity to receive personal feedback on their own research, through
presentations and from meeting individually with faculty (see list of
faculty below).

Due to generosity from the NYU Abu Dhabi Institute, students at WESSI 2015
will not pay tuition and shared housing will be provided free of
charge. Students
are only responsible for their own transportation expenses and most meals.

Applications will be accepted until August 1st and selected participants
will be notified by September 1st.
