Hi everyone - Polmeth XXVII is just two months away, July 22-24. The
preliminary program is posted on the conference web page. We're looking
forward to an exciting conference at the University of Iowa.

   http://www.polisci.uiowa.edu/polmeth/

For those accepted to present, attend, discuss (i.e., anyone planning to
come), please remember to register by TUESDAY, JUNE 1. You must register
by this deadline if you plan to come.

As you make your plans, please try to attend for the entire conference
whenever possible. The Methods conference is great because of the people
who participate and we'd like all three days of the conference to be
equally great.

I've checked with the conference hotels. The Hotel Vetro is booked up, but
there is a good number of rooms left at the Sheraton. Given the current
registration rate, though, these could disappear quickly when people start
to sign up. I'd suggest you book now rather than wait until the deadline
of JUNE 15. Also, it's important to book through the Society's block so
that we don't get charged for unused rooms, so please make sure they find
the Society for Political Methodology's block and lower rate when you book
your room. If you have any trouble, please let me know.

We also have a few dorm rooms left, which must be booked by JUNE 21. For
those staying in the dorms, I've added information about travel to the
conference on Saturday to the webpage. We'll take care of you.

We will have receptions on Thursday and Friday and a full dinner on
Saturday. The receptions will enough to get by for dinner if you really
want to, but some of you might want to check out the local restaurant
options on the conference web page (under Iowa City information) to make
reservations for after the receptions end.

And for those interested, we've put together a small cycling team for
RAGBRAI (http://www.ragbrai.com). You can still buy a few single day
passes if you want to join us, so contact Fred ASAP so we can deal with
logistics. For more information see the conference website.

See you in July!

                                                          - Fred
