Dear colleagues,

Please see the job announcement below for a position in Canadian and 
Québec politics at ULaval.  The successful candidate will be expected to 
teach undergraduate and/or graduate level methods courses in addition to 
courses in the aforementioned subfield.  Candidates whose specialization 
is comparative politics who have knowledge of the Canadian system are 
encouraged to apply.  Formal questions about the job should be addressed

The Department of Political Science at Université Laval invites 
applications for an open rank tenure-line appointment in Canadian and 
Québec Politics to begin on June 1, 2011.  Applicants must have a PhD in 
political science or a related discipline.  Doctoral candidates who are 
at the final stage of their dissertation will be considered.  Applicants 
will be judged upon the quality of their research and publications, 
their teaching experience, and their capacity to teach undergraduate and 
graduate-level research methods courses.  The successful applicant will 
be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the subfield 
and advise Master’s and Doctoral degree students.  He/she will also be 
expected to maintain a high-quality research and publication program as 
well as to perform any other activity foreseen by the collective 
agreement.  The teaching and working language is French. The evaluation 
of files begins on November 4, 2010 and will continue until the position 
is filled. Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, three letters of 
recommendation and a copy of three publications to:
