In recognition of John T. Williams' contribution to graduate training,
the John T. Williams' Award has been established for the best
dissertation proposal in the area of political methodology.
The John Williams' Award Committee (Patrick Brandt [chair], Micheal
Colaresi, and Betsy Sinclair), would like to solicit submissions for
the best dissertation proposal in political methodology.
Proposals using quantitative or qualitative methods are welcomed.
Proposals should be for dissertations from May 1, 2008 to April 30,
2009 (noting of course that these may or may not yet be completed
dissertations -- this is an award for *proposals* in this window).
Proposals are due by May 1, 2009 and should follow the National
Science Foundation guidelines (e.g.,http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2001/nsf01113/nsf01113.htm)

Proposals and associated letters of recommendation in PDF format can
