All,
A colleague and I are looking for a consistent (e.g. monthly or
quarterly) time series of public opinion data on the economy. We
specifically need data reporting respondents' approval or disapproval of
the state of the economy. If that data is linked with the president
(e.g. approving/disapproving of the job that the president is doing with
the economy), that's even better.
I've been fortunate to already borrow liberally from Dan Wood's data
from 1978 forward, but we're wondering if there's anything that can get
us back to around 1948.
Many thanks for suggestions!
Cheers, Bill
