Thesis advising and leading lab sessions are also expected. This is a full-time position with the possibility of multi-year renewal contingent upon successful review. A Ph.D. in a social science discipline (or broadly related field) at the time of appointment is required, preferably with a specialization in applied statistics, data science methods, and coding in multiple statistical software languages. Demonstrated ability in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level required. Minimum Degree Required: Ph.D. Minimum Qualifications: All candidates must have demonstrated excellence as scholars and teachers. The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to graduate training and teaching, along with excellent judgment and strong interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Specialization in applied statistics, data science, machine learning, text analysis, and familiarity coding in R and/or Python.
