I'd like to share some opportunities for those in research support roles to connect with others in similar positions:

*US Research Software Engineer Association*
Do you write code or software for researchers? You might be a research software engineer (RSE). Join a growing community of RSEs and help ensure that social science RSEs are part of this network as well. https://us-rse.org/ There is a funded community building workshop in April, and we're looking for social science RSEs to attend: https://us-rse.org/2019-11-14-april-2020-workshop/

*CaRCC Data-Facing People Network Track*
Do you help researchers work with their data? Connect with others in similar positions through the Campus Research Computing Consortium (CaRCC) Data-Facing Track: https://carcc.org/people-network/data-facing-track/. We're a group of folks in a variety of positions across IT, libraries, academic departments, research institutes, and other organizations who help researchers with a wide range of data-related tasks. Join the email list to hear about monthly community calls.

Please share these with others you may know of in such positions.

I'm happy to answer questions about either of these groups, or about these types of jobs in general.

Regards,
Christina
