Colleagues:
I have recently calculated Groseclose, Levitt, Snyder (1999) adjusted
W-NOMINATE scores for the 80th-110th Congresses (1947-2009). For those not
familiar with the technique, static ideology scores are connected across
years by estimating scale and stretch parameters. This technique has a
desirable quality; it is able to detect short-term ideological shifts
(i.e., year-to-year or Congress-to-Congress).
A dataset containing the GLS-adjusted scores is available on my data page (
http://www.adamramey.com/data-and-code.html). The file is saved in both
STATA and CSV formats.
Feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, etc.
Best,
Adam
