According to my reading of the manual, HLM6 (Raudenbush, Bryk, Cheon,
Congdon &
du Toit) can do hierarchical multinomial LOGIT. Raudenbush and Bryk's book
(Hierarchical Lineral Models: Application and Data Analysis Methods)
also has a
discussion of hierarchical multinomial models.
