Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Network Science
University of Greenwich, London

Supporting continued growth, the Faculty of Business is seeking a
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Network Science. You will be part of the Department
of International Business and Economics, which provides a range of successful
undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the fields of international
business and economics. The position offers opportunities for research and
teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and enables an ambitious
candidate to play an important role in the shaping of the future development of
Business Network research in the University of Greenwich Faculty of Business.
The Faculty provides attractive conditions conducive for active research.

We are particularly interested in candidates who could make a significant
contribution to the work of the large team around the Centre for Business
Network Analysis (CBNA). The CBNA carries out critical empirical research on
the social networks that arise as people relate to one another, both within and
across organisational boundaries, and examines ways in which these networks
assist and hinder organisational goals. The CBNA website
(http://www2.gre.ac.uk/about/schools/business/research/groups/cbna/about) shows
the range of issues and sectors addressed.

The Department of International Business and Economics performed strongly in the
latest UK Research Assessment Exercise, with two-thirds of its research rated
internationally significant or world-leading. In addition to CBNA, the
Department hosts the Public Services International Research Unit and the Centre
for Economic Performance, Governance and Regulation Research and works closely
with the Work and Employment Research Unit.

The University of Greenwich is repeatedly rated first in London for teaching
excellence and the Faculty of Business is ranked in the top third for business
and management in the Guardian's UK nationwide tables. The Department has a
strong undergraduate offering in international business, economics and business
law, repeatedly rating first in the UK in the National Student Satisfaction
Survey. It runs successful postgraduate programmes in International Business
and Business and Financial Economics both in London and with partners in East
Africa, South and South East India and China.
